Bernard Foccroulle, accompanied by soprano Deborah Cachet and violinists François Fernandez and Yun Kim, will do us the honour of performing a Christmas Concert in aid of be.Source's social works to improve the quality of life of elderly people in need.
Thanks to the support of be.Source, Labolobo's tuktuk bikes took part in the preparation and distribution of flowers, together with Accolage. It was a joyful partnership a sweet moment of getting together and sharing to mark the International Day of Older Persons.
That same weekend, the Innov'âge festival offered a convivial event, favouring inter-generational exchanges to change the way we look at advancing age. At the Brass, a number of workshops brought different generations together in a fun way.
This annual event, which took place on 21 September at Drohme Park, is the perfect opportunity to thank all the people who work every day for the well-being of the elderly. This year's event brought together more than 150 volunteers and staff from associations belonging to the be.Source network. Despite the rainy weather, many participants set off to explore the Forêt de Soignes by bike or on foot, or tried their hand at golf, while other volunteers took part in a ceramics, candle or floral decoration workshop. At the end of the activities, everyone got together to share a drink and a delicious barbecue. It was a great opportunity for volunteers to get together and share their experiences, and perhaps develop joint projects.

The Concert d'Anvers, an ensemble of baroque instruments conducted by Bart Van Reyn, will be accompanied by the Octopus choir and soloists from the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel. They will be performing splendid arias and concertos by Vivaldi and Corelli.
The net proceeds from this concert will be donated to be.Source's social projects for vulnerable elderly people.
be.Source regularly organizes training courses for volunteers of all their partner associations. These training courses cover different topics which can be very helpful in daily practices with seniors.
A day of first aid training is offered several times a year, in collaboration with and provided by the Belgian Red Cross. This activity is always a huge success. The participants take lessons from this training which can be very useful in practice.
After two years of interruption, we were finally allowed to reconnect with our tradtional volunteer evening. This event brings together all volunteers and assistants of all member associations of the network be.Source to highlight the work being done for the aged and vulnerable persons and also to thank the volunteers for their efforts.
This year, Drome Park, the former Boitsfort hippodrome, was the place where more than hundred participants were welcomed for various workshops: some could let their creativity run free when making a tealight or a mug. Others discovered the Forêt de Soignes on foot or by bike or got a golf initiation.
After the activities, everyone gathered together in the enchanting setting of the Jardin du Pesage to raise a glass to friendship and to enjoy a delicious meal.
This fourth edition will have allowed volunteers to meet, discuss their practice and perhaps develop joint projects.

"we come near you"
Following its success in Forest, the caravan comes back the last week of August in Saint-Gilles to meet isolated and vulnerable people in their environment.
The caravan aims to create a friendly and mobile space, where seniors can stop for a coffee and discuss with associations the problems they encounter in terms of housing, care, solitude or other issues.
Everyone will be able to meet and exchange ideas in a warm atmosphere aimed at raising awareness of the problem of isolation among the elderly.

This annual event, which took place on February 5 at the Wiels, brought together more than a hundred volunteers and service providers associations that are part of the be.Source network.
This evening is an opportunity to thank all the people who work on a daily basis for the well-being of elderly people. On the program: guided tour of the Wiels, testimonials and meetings between non-profit organisations and institutions active in aid to the seniors, then an exchange in good mood around a glass and a sandwich in a friendly setting. This event is the third edition organized by be.Source. In 2017, in the studio of the Munt and in 2018 at La Tricoterie around a laughter yoga and a workshop on singing.
