La Monnaie’s social programme aims to make the world of music, singing, and opera more accessible to vulnerable audiences. To achieve this, it offers a wide range of activities:
- Every week, 20 singing workshops take place at La Monnaie, in nursing homes, local community centres run by Public Social Welfare Centres (CPAS/OCMW), day centres for seniors, and correctional facilities.
- Around 5,000 free tickets are distributed each season to disadvantaged groups through social sector organizations.
- Chamber music concerts and tailor-made recitals are performed at La Monnaie, as well as in nursing homes, CPAS community centres, correctional facilities, and other venu
