The droits devant non-profit organisation places human rights at the heart of ageing. Its ambition is to strengthen our collective ability to mobilise the law and legal tools so that growing older does not limit our freedoms, our choices or our participation in society.

To achieve this, the organisation works with citizens, associations, frontline professionals and policymakers. It helps to better protect and defend human rights in later life, raises awareness of ageism and age-based discrimination, and creates spaces for reflection to rethink ageing as a stage of life characterised by freedom, responsibility and choice.

Through training sessions, workshops, conferences, awareness-raising initiatives, support activities and advocacy, Droits Devant develops a socio-legal approach to ageing and provides stakeholders with the tools they need to better integrate human rights into their practices.
