Networking and Knowledge Sharing Event “Senior Impact Framework”

Colloque évaluation d'impact social
Stefan Tabirta

On 28 January 2027, the be.Source Foundation will organise a networking and knowledge-sharing event to present a common framework of impact criteria, co-developed by organisations working in the field and public and private funders, with the aim of facilitating funding applications and their assessment.

This event will provide an opportunity to discuss a shared challenge: how to better identify, understand and report on the impact of initiatives supporting older people in Belgium.

Registration will open during October

From the Colloquium to a common framework

This initiative builds on the Colloquium dedicated to assessing and demonstrating social impact, organised by the be.Source Foundation on 23 April 2026.

The social impact assessment conducted among seven partner organisations of the Foundation helped identify common criteria, despite the diversity of their activities and the people they support.

However, these initial findings also highlighted the need to broaden the discussion in order to develop an approach that could be understood and used beyond the organisations involved in the assessment.

With this in mind, a working group of 20 participants, including representatives of organisations working in the field and public and private funders, was established. Its members subsequently met over four half-day sessions to further explore the issues raised during the symposium and develop a common framework of impact criteria for initiatives supporting people aged over 65, with the aim of facilitating funding applications and their assessment.

The morning of 28 January 2027 will provide an opportunity to discover the outcome of this collaborative process, share reflections arising from it and explore how different stakeholders in the sector can adopt and use the framework.
