Presentation
The organisation aims to provide practical assistance and free labour to people experiencing hardship, as well as to care homes and associations facing financial difficulties and lacking the resources needed to operate in acceptable conditions.
The Compagnons carry out painting and wallpapering work, plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs, garden maintenance, provide essential furniture, and assist with furniture transport and relocation services.
The association also seeks to encourage the commitment of both younger and older volunteers and bring them together in a voluntary movement that supports both caregivers and those receiving assistance, in accordance with Article 3 of its statutes.
We aim to continue supporting vulnerable people by enabling them to live in decent housing and by providing solutions tailored to their circumstances. Senior volunteers play a vital role in achieving this vision, alongside the development of stronger partnerships with other organisations supported by be.Source.
The organisation is made up of nine regional sections: Antwerp, Basse Sambre, Walloon Brabant, Brussels, Borinage and Haut-Pays, Hannut, Liège, Namur, and the Vesdre Valley.
These sections operate independently while pursuing the same mission and strategy. Each section manages its own budget and financial resources to carry out the activities defined in the organisation’s statutes.
